Laparoscopic Endometriosis Surgery is a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat endometriosis, a painful condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. This misplaced tissue can affect the ovaries, fallopian tubes, pelvic lining, and even surrounding organs, leading to chronic pain, irregular bleeding, and infertility.
Laparoscopy allows the surgeon to both visualize and remove endometriotic lesions using a camera and specialized instruments through small abdominal incisions.
Laparoscopic surgery is recommended when:
Medication fails to relieve endometriosis symptoms
There is a need for accurate diagnosis and staging
Endometriosis causes fertility issues
Pain significantly affects daily life and quality of health
Ovarian cysts (endometriomas) or adhesions are present
Chronic pelvic pain
Painful periods (dysmenorrhea)
Pain during intercourse
Painful bowel movements or urination
Heavy menstrual bleeding
Difficulty conceiving
